Delhi Metro girl “It’s my choice what to wear”
On social media, a video of a girl wearing a bikini and miniskirt went viral. The Delhi Metro Girl’s sartorial choices were criticized by many on Twitter. Her identity and why she dressed in that manner intrigued others. Fortunately, in a recent interview, Delhi Metro Girl discussed her bold choices.
the girl identified as Rhythm Chanana talked about her sudden rise to fame on social media. In addition, she spoke about how she copes with critics’ comments and stares.
“It’s my choice what to wear. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to become famous. Chanana stated that she is not influenced by fashionista Uorfi Javed’s fashion choices. She added, ” I had never heard of her until recently when a friend showed me her picture. However, after learning her story, I respect her.”
Moreover, Chanana revealed she had been traveling in similar clothes for quite some time. Choosing this path didn’t happen overnight, it was a process. Having grown up in a conservative family, I wasn’t allowed to do what I wanted, so I decided one day to do what I wanted since it was my life. For many months now, I’ve been traveling this way. Now it’s going viral. While I haven’t been able to travel on Delhi’s Pink Line, I haven’t faced any problems on any other line,” she said.
Chanana also said that her family was not happy with her choice of clothing. Her neighbors have also allegedly threatened her, the 19-year-old said. Daring women, however, are unfazed by anything.
“It is strange that DMRC now forgets their own rule against videography inside the metro. If they have a problem with my attire, they should have a problem with those who filmed me,” Chanana said.
